About Us

DateandRate.com was first developed in 2002 as a hobby by Dean Patterson, to be nothing more than a picture rating/dating site. This was before the days of popular social sites emerging. We did a major redesign in 2003, which worked out surprisingly well. Then we learned about what we did right, what we did wrong and had a lot of excellent ideas on the way.

After 2003 I spent five years planning this website and in 2008 we did a major redesign overhaul. Adding a social aspect to a dating website, and of course many more features while the site remained free . DateandRate.com is not a corporation , a lot of good friends have helped with this site over the years. Which is why we have this excellent site today. Our servers are located in the U.S. but as we expand I am sure we will adapt with changes.

Our goal is to offer you as many features as possible for free. We will never charge for this site. We actually have a lot more features then most known commercialized dating websites. So I would like to welcome you to our site DateandRate.com and let you know I will do everything within my means to make this an excellent experience. We appreciate your support!
